Alex Rae doesn't believe Dermot Desmond will quit Celtic regardless of the latest tennis ball incident. Is there a mediator who could bring peace to Celtic? Pocognoli has options for the Slovenia game. Is a three-week break for International football too long. Can Rangers increase the pressure on Celtic when domestic football returns this weekend? Tennent's Sixes is a family affair.
"He can't keep banning everybody." After Celtic Fans Collective members threw tennis balls at Dermot Desmond at St Andrews, where does Celtic's civil war go next?
What happened with Dermot Desmond and the tennis balls?
On Saturday, members of the Celtic Fans Collective threw tennis balls bearing Dermot Desmond's crossed-out face onto the 15th green at St Andrews during the Alfred Dunhill Links. Celtic called it premeditated, promised bans and stopped engaging with the group; the Collective hit back. Alan Rough says it is "embarrassing for the club" but that Desmond has been good for Celtic financially. Alex Rae says "I actually see this guy doubling down" and will not walk away. Peter Martin asks why Celtic keep banning their critics. Plus why Martin O'Neill didn't walk ("you cannot sack a legend"), whether Celtic need a mediator the fans would trust, and why abusing board members and their families is "bang out of order".
Can Scotland beat Slovenia?
After the 2-0 win in North Macedonia (Kieron Bowie's early goal and a John McGinn penalty), the panel say Scotland now have to show they can break a team down at Hampden. Ben Gannon-Doak was "a breath of fresh air" and has to start, Luis Binks and Stephen Welsh look the part, Andy Robertson is set for his 101st cap, and should Sebastien Pocognoli unleash Josh McPake at left wing-back?
Plus the 1963 Scotland v Austria game that was abandoned with Scotland 4-1 up in front of 95,000, whether a three-week international break is too long, Rangers' chance to leapfrog Celtic this weekend, and the Tennent's Sixes: Rangers' 7-1, Celtic's 5-4 revenge in the final, and Alex Rae's own Sixes stories.
