Celtic manager Martin O'Neill gives his full post-match reaction after a hard-fought 2-1 win at St Mirren, a night with a sting in the tail as matchwinner Yang Hyun-jun was forced off injured. O'Neill said Celtic will miss the in-form winger, who scored the goal that won it before picking up a knock, and admitted his side were "well and truly second best" for a spell in the first half before their second-half energy turned the game. He also delivered a glowing tribute to Liam Scales and took aim at the VAR offside technology in Paisley.

WHY WILL CELTIC MISS YANG?
Yang scored the winner but was taken off after a knock, having looked shaken up. O'Neill said Celtic will miss the winger while he is out, calling it "really disappointing" given he is in "really fine form", and praised his work rate and willingness to do the hard graft.

WHY DID O'NEILL PRAISE LIAM SCALES?
O'Neill said "I don't know what the club would do without him", highlighting how the centre-half has repeatedly played out of position, his "massive heart", his equaliser and the pass that set up Yang's winner.

WHAT DID O'NEILL SAY ABOUT VAR?
O'Neill mocked the offside technology, saying the lines "were not properly calibrated" and that he had "never seen so many cricket lines" in his life, though he admitted he would be more unhappy had Celtic not won.

O'Neill also praised St Mirren for causing Celtic plenty of problems, and backed young signings Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan to come good as they adjust to the intensity of Scottish football.
