Kilmarnock 3-2 Ayr United in the Scottish League Cup: ‘"You can't argue with the quality of the finishes." Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann is delighted after his side edge Ayr United 3-2 in a Scottish League Cup Ayrshire derby, praising the class of the goals and Nicky Clecenco's cool late winner, dinked over the keeper rather than smashed. "It's certainly nice for my dressing room. I'm so happy for my players and everybody connected with Kilmarnock."

You can't argue with the quality of the finishes. I mean, Joe's finish is brilliant, Michael's is brilliant, and Nicky is a touch of class, actually, because at that stage of the game he could have rushed it and smashed it and it could have been blocked, but to have the awareness and the ability just to lift it over into the net. I don't think, if you'd have asked the Kilmarnock fans, they might have wanted a big one, but to win it in that way, there's just something nice about it. For a supporter, I can imagine. It's certainly nice for my dressing room. I'm so happy for my players and I'm so happy for everybody connected with Kilmarnock.
