Khephren Thuram follows in father Lilian’s footsteps by signing for Juventus

Khephren Thuram has followed in the footsteps of his father Lilian by joining Juventus.

Thuram – the 23-year-old younger brother of Inter Milan and France forward Marcus – arrives in Turin from Ligue 1 club Nice on a five-year contract.

“Khephren’s ties to Juventus and Italy go back a long way, having been born in Reggio Emilia when his father – former Bianconeri star Lilian – was playing with another Serie A side, Parma,” read a club statement.

“From there, the Thuram family moved to Turin in the summer of 2001 and now, 23 years later, Khephren has come back again.”

Midfielder Khephren began his senior career at Monaco before joining Nice in the summer of 2019.

He made 167 appearances for Nice and was capped by France against the Netherlands in March 2023.

Lilian was a Juventus player between 2001 and 2006 during a celebrated career that saw him win the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with France.
