Premier League clubs are on high alert amid news Lisbon sensation Viktor Gyokeres is available for just £63 million, the Daily Telegraph reports. The Swedish striker could be one of the hottest prospects in Europe next summer. Gyokeres has netted 66 goals in 67 matches since joining Sporting from Coventry in 2023.

While a number of clubs are rumoured to be interested in the 26-year-old, the Daily Star says Manchester United – soon to be managed by his current boss Ruben Amorim – and Chelsea will lead the chase for his signature.

Barcelona are considering a shock move for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah with the star’s contract due to expire at the end of the season. Salah has been linked to a move away from Anfield for months, but the Daily Mirror reports the Spanish club is considering a play for the Egypt international.

Crystal Palace are eyeing a £20 million deal for teen Sunderland sensation Chris Rigg, according to The Sun. The 17-year-old became the second youngest player in the club’s history after making his debut while still at school last year. The young gun has reportedly caught the eye of Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman, who is convinced he could make a name for himself in the Premier League.

Sheffield United could be sold to a US consortium led by Steve Rosen in a £105 million deal, according to the Telegraph. The newspaper suggests the final parts of the deal need to be signed off, but there is “confidence” that the US businessman will take control of the club. The club has been subject to takeover talks over the last few seasons.
