Connor Barron was keen to stress the togetherness of the Rangers dressing room despite mounting pressure after this weekend’s 1-1 draw with Dundee United.
The Ibrox outfit slipped eleven points behind league leaders Celtic but the midfielder insisted that the group will pull together through current adversity.
“We are all on the same page, we are all a team” he said. “We are all together it’s down to all of us to go and pull our weight on Thursday and get a result”
The Rangers support made their feelings clear about current results by booing their side off of the pitch at the weekend, and whilst the 22-year old admits it’s difficult to ignore, he is determined to use it to spur the side on:
“Yes you obviously hear it but you have got to block it out and at the same time use it as fuel make sure you bounce back”
He continued: “It is our job to make them happy, we have got to get three points and we have a chance to do that this week so lets do it”
Barron was present at what was a day dedicated to Rangers legend Walter Smith as a new coach was presented to the pupils of Hazelwood School, a move which has been described as ‘invaluable’ to the local community.
Rangers next travel to France to face OGC Nice in the Europa League on Thursday night, where they will look to put domestic form behind them.
