Celtic boss Elena Sadiku has urged her team to go out in a blaze of glory as their Champions League adventure draws to a close.
The Scottish champions head into their final Group B fixture at FC Twente in Enschede on Tuesday evening sitting at the bottom of the pile without a point and with only one goal to their name.
However, Sadiku is confident they have learned from what they have experienced in the competition and is keen for that to be rewarded with something tangible.
She told BBC Sport: “The most important thing is to get a great performance, one that will help us to get points.
“We have grown as a team in this campaign, the biggest stage we can play on. Hopefully we can tie the bag together with our best performance so far.
“We need to be switched on all the time otherwise we’re going to get punished. That’s a big lesson to learn.
“For me, it’s also been about trying to make sure that the players are brave and confident and making sure that they can be the best they can be.”
Celtic have lost home and away to Chelsea and Real Madrid having gone down 2-0 to Twente at New Douglas Park in their opening fixture courtesy of Kayleigh van Dooren’s double.
The demands of European football have taken their toll on the domestic campaign with the Ghirls currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League table, although with games in hand on the teams above them.
However Sadiku, who has a doubt over Murphy Agnew, the scorer of their only goal in the competition, said: “The best thing with coming back in January is it’s only going to be focused domestically, how we’re going to compete, how we’re going to win our games, how we’re going to make sure that we win titles, trying to do everything we can to win the league again.
“That’s what brought us here and that’s what we want to do again. This experience has taught us a lot and we really want to compete here again, and next time we compete here, we’re going to be even better.”
