Philippe Clement has been SACKED by Rangers just one day after the 2-0 defeat to St Mirren at Ibrox.
The Light Blues sit 13 points behind league leaders Celtic and have been eliminated from both domestic trophies.
The Gers were knocked out of the Scottish Cup after a humiliating 1-0 defeat to Championship side Queens Park two weeks ago.
Now the club, who are rumoured to be lined up for a takeover, have parted ways with the Belgian coach.
An official statement on the club website read: “Rangers Football Club can confirm it has tonight parted company with men’s first-team manager, Philippe Clement.
“The club would like to put on record their sincere thanks to Philippe for his hard work and dedication during his spell in charge. A further update from the club will follow in due course.”
Rangers still have the small matter of a Europa League last 16 tie with Fenerbahce to contend with after finishing in the top eight of the group stage.
The Govan club will next take to the field on Wednesday night against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
