Reports that Stuart Kettlewell has agreed a deal to become Kilmarnock manager are premature.

PLZ Soccer understands that despite being in the running for the job there is not an agreement in place for the ex-Motherwell boss to takeover at Rugby Park.

40-year-old Kettlewell has been out of work since January when he left his post at Fir Park, after what he described as personal abuse directed at his family which forced him to tender his resignation.

Former Kilmarnock forward Steven Naismith and Scotland assistant manager John Carver are amongst the other names touted for the job.
