Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Argentina international Thiago Almada.
The attacking midfielder or winger will complete the move from Brazilian club Botafogo after undergoing a medical in Spain.
“Atletico de Madrid and Botafogo FR have agreed to the transfer of 24-year-old Argentine international Thiago Almada,” the LaLiga side said on the club website.

“He will travel to Madrid to undergo the necessary medical examination and, subsequently, sign his contract to formalise the deal.”
Almada, part of Argentina’s victorious 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar, spent the second half of last season on loan at Ligue 1 club Lyon.
