Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel insists hanging up his gloves isn’t on his mind as he gets set for another campaign in Glasgow.

The 39-year-old will take his place as Celtic’s No1 again this campaign as the Hoops defend a league and couple double.

And the Dane is keen to express he still believes there’s more to achieve despite being in the twilight of his career.

He said: “That’s not my mindset. I haven’t done everything. There’s still lots to accomplish.

“In all honesty, I never think like that. I’ve never been the type of guy to think in restrictions or limitations or anything like that.

“At the moment, I’m just loving playing football. I love being part of a club where the culture is so driven by winning.

“That really motivates me every single day to get up to it, to make sure that we uphold those standards and keep striving for more.

“As long as I’m really enjoying that and as long as that hunger or desire, whatever you want to call it, is there, then I’ll keep playing.

“When you’re at a club like Celtic, you’re not going to be here if your mindset isn’t about winning.

“We say it all the time. Anything but a win, that just won’t do for us. We have to have that mindset. It’s something that’s talked about every single day. Every single day, you turn up to training. It’s 100 per cent.

“You’re not coming in for a half day or whatever. You’re coming in and you’re here to win.
