Partick Thistle missed the chance to cut the gap on William Hill Championship leaders St Johnstone after conceding an added-time equaliser to draw 2-2 at Dunfermline.
Second-placed Thistle were on course to move to within a point of the summit following goals from Logan Chalmers and Alex Samuel, either side of Nurudeen Abdulai’s leveller.
But defender Kieran Ngwenya struck two minutes beyond the 90 for Neil Lennon’s Pars to frustrate the promotion-chasing visitors at East End Park.
On a dramatic evening in the second tier, table-topping St Johnstone also conceded a late leveller in a 1-1 draw at Queen’s Park.
Euan Murray scored for the hosts in the 90th minute to cancel out a goal from former Spiders forward Josh Fowler.
Saints ended the game with 10 men after defender Morgan Boyes was dismissed in added time.
