Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will speak to Liel Abada after the Israeli winger was left out of the squad for the Scottish Cup win over St Mirren.
Abada has recently returned to the team after injury but has been caught in an awkward situation following the conflict in the Middle East.
Celtic fans have been vocal about their support for Palestine with the Israeli internationalist urged by his fellow countrymen to leave the club because of it.
“He wasn’t in a right frame of mind,” said Rodgers of the 22-year-old.
“I’ll spoke a lot to Liel and it has been a challenging time for him.
“I just felt when he came into the game the other night, it just wasn’t him.
“So we gave him this chance to have a few days and clear his mind. I’ll have a chat with him again next week, see where he’s at.”
