Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland has not been the subject of any fresh late bids, despite the ramping up of the social media rumour mill.
A new contract offer from the club remains on the table for the 28-year-old although it is understood that there is a time limit on that deal from Hearts.
Shankland’s current contract still has 18 months to run, as it stretches to 2025.
With 20 goals across all competitions this season, the Scotland internationalist has attracted much attention in the window although it is understood that Hearts fully expect the player still to be at the club when the curtain comes down tomorrow on any movement.
With Shankland vying for a place in Steve Clarke’s squad for this summer’s European Championships in Germany, the striker could be in the enviable position of putting himself in a very lucrative shop window this summer.
If, as expected, he does not sign the fresh contract offer from Hearts and is heading into the final year of his deal, it would present the ideal time to facilitate a move for the player.
