Manchester United great and Scotland’s joint record goalscorer Denis Law has died aged 84, his family has announced.

Law, who scored 30 goals for Scotland and helped his country reach the 1974 World Cup finals, won two league titles with United and was a member of the 1968 European Cup-winning squad which became the first English club to lift the trophy.

Here, the PA news agency takes a pictorial look back over his career.
