Juventus have signed Chelsea defender Renato Veiga on a loan deal worth at least 4million euros (£3.358m).

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Swiss club Basel in July for a reported £11.8m fee and has made 18 appearances for the Blues.

Veiga has played seven times in the Premier League with only one start in the competition.

“Juventus are delighted to welcome Portuguese defender Renato Veiga, who will join the club on loan from Chelsea until the end of the 2024-25 season,” the Serie A outfit said on their website.

Outlining the financial details of the deal, they added: “Juventus Football Club announces that an agreement with Chelsea Football Club for the temporary acquisition, until 30 June 2025, of the registration rights of the player Da Palma Veiga Renato has been reached for a consideration of 3.8million euros, with additional costs up to 0.2million euros.

“The consideration may be increased up to a maximum of 1.5 million euros over the duration of the player’s contract, upon the achievement of further performance objectives.”
