Scotland will take on Germany, Switzerland and Hungary in a bid to reach the knock-out stages of EURO 2024 under Steve Clarke.

Here PLZ Soccer previews Scotland’s three group games ahead of kick-off on June 14th.

SCOTLAND V GERMANY

Scotland will kick off their hotly anticipated Euro’s campaign when they take on hosts Germany in the opening game at the Allianz Arena on June 14th.

Scotland have played Germany 17 times since their first meeting in 1929, with the Scots coming out on top on four occasions, drawing five and losing eight.

The two sides last met in a Euro 2016 qualifier, with the Germans earning a narrow 3-2 win at Hampden Park.

SCOTLAND V SWITZERLAND

Matchday Two will see Steve Clarke’s side take on Switzerland at the Rhein Energie Stadion in Cologne, home of F.C Koln.

The last competitive match between the pair was at EURO 96 when a wonder goal from Ally McCoist gave the Scots a 1-0 win in the final group stage game.

Scotland enjoy an impressive record against the Swiss, with eight wins, 5 losses and 3 draws since their first ever meeting in 1931.

SCOTLAND V HUNGARY

Scotland’s final group game at EURO 2024 will take place at the home of Bundesliga side Stuttgart – the MHP Arena.

Matt Philipps first ever Scotland goal sealed a 1-0 victory the last time these two met in Budapest.

The two countries have squared off on 9 occasions, with Hungary having the edge with four wins to Scotland’s three.

The two nations have however never come up against each other in a competitive fixture.
