Robert Lewandowski scored his 100th Champions League goal as Barcelona eased to a 3-0 home victory over Brest.
He becomes only the third player behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to reach the landmark total.
The 36-year-old converted a 10th-minute penalty to take his tally to a century before he secured his brace in second-half added time.
Dani Olmo was also involved in the scoring as Barca earned their fourth victory in this season’s competition.
A clumsy foul in the box by goalkeeper Marco Bizot on Lewandowski saw the Polish striker stand over the ball from 12 yards. The former Bayern forward performed a stutter penalty, simply placing his finish into the bottom right-hand corner and sending Bizot the wrong way to break the deadlock.
Bizot continued to be in the thick of the action and the keeper made up for his error to concede the spot-kick with an important save to prevent Brest’s hosts from doubling their advantage.
After centre-back Pau Cubarsi received the ball in an attacking area, Fermin Lopez, who perfectly timed his run, met the whipped cross with a header inside the area, but Bizot performed a tipped save to keep it at 1-0 after 40 minutes.
After the interval Barca continued where they left off as they doubled their advantage to put the match beyond reach. Gerard Martin surged down the left and fizzed a ball into the surging Olmo who jinked past two Brest defenders prior to his shot which he squeezed through Bizot’s legs.
Brest had been second best all night at the hands of the LaLiga leaders and a disallowed goal by Pierre Lees-Melou for an offside summed up a frustrating evening for the French outfit.
Lewandowski grabbed his second in second-half added time to round off the win.
