Celtic have extended their lead at the top of the table to sixteen points – for twenty four hours at least.

Goals from Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate were enough to see off Jim Goodwin’s high flying Dundee Utd.

It was a dominant display in front of a freezing Parkhead crowd that increased the gap ahead of Rangers’ trip to Dens Park to take on Dundee tomorrow night.

Next up for Brendan Rodgers’ side is a trip to Dingwall to face Ross County on Saturday.
