Rangers get themselves back on the winning cycle after their hiccup last weekend as Abdallah Sima banged in a double to pick up three points against St Mirren this afternoon.

It was a slow start for both sides but the Ibrox outfit managed to edge themselves in front just moments before the half time whistle. Todd Cantwell got all the hard work out the way by driving into the centre of the box for Sima to practically take the ball from the Englishman’s feet and hit the back of the net at a good time.

Up until then, the Rangers support weren’t afraid to let the team know hey were underwhelmed by their performance. With every misplaced pass or opportunity they squandered, it was closely followed by a resounding wave of frustration that traveled around the stadium.

It was on the 70th minute Sima was able net his second of the evening assisted by Todd Cantwell, again. The Senegalese forward rolled it comfortably past Hemming getting him up to 11 goals for the season.

St Mirren didn’t challenge Rangers in the second half as much as they would have hoped recording this trip to Glasgow as their 4th defeat in 6 weeks. Although they’ll be hoping Rangers can pull one over on Hearts at Tynecastle on Wednesday night as the Saints sit just one point behind the Gorgie side in the league table.

Meanwhile, Stephen Robinson’s side make the journey to Perth to face second bottom St Johnstone.
