Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane believes his side will have to significantly improve on their showing against Las Palmas if they are to win anything this season.
Los Blancos limped over the line with a 2-1 win after Casemiro’s late intervention saved them from embarrassment.
Madrid are some way off the pace in La Liga’s title race, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona while their league chances maybe gone they booked their place in the last-eight of the Champions League after beating Roma.
But Zidane is far from impressed.
“I am happy with the win, but a little bit angry with the second half performance,” he told reporters.
“We got three points, but we will have to go over the game and analyse what happened because I am concerned about the second half.
“If we want to win [a trophy], we will have to play better. If we don’t [play better], we will not go anywhere, but I’m convinced we can put on a better performance.”
