Alistair Johnston has handed Celtic a massive boost by penning a new long term deal with the club.
The Hoops defender has will be tied to the Parkhead club until 2029, the champions announced today.
The Canadian right back signed for the Glasgow side in 2022, and has since made 79 appearances, scoring six goals.
After sealing the deal the Hoops defender told Celtic’s official website: “I am just delighted to extent my contract with Celtic.
“I got a brilliant welcome to the club in 2022 and ever since I have had the best of times, loving every minute as part of such a great institution and I wanted to continue to be part of that.
“It’s an absolute honour to pull that famous jersey on every week and to have achieved so much success with my team-mates already has been so satisfying. But of course, we want more and that is our focus.”
Alistair Johnston will play a vital role in Sunday’s clash with Hearts at Tynecastle as the domestic campaign resumes.
