Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was scathing in his assessment of the Hoops’ dismal 0-0 draw with Kairat Almaty.
The Scottish Premiership side failed in their quest to take a lead into next week’s Champions League Play-off round 2nd leg tie.
Chants of ‘Sack the Board’ bellowed around the stadium as a frustrated fanbase watched on from the stands.
After the final whistle the Hoops manager told TNT Sports: “I think when you play at home in this stage, of course we want to take an advantage.
“We didn’t do that, but I’ve also been here before. We drew 0-0 with Rosenborg here a few years ago, and went onto play really well in the away leg, so we will have to do that out there.
“We certainly need to play better than what we did in the first half.
“Sometimes you can over think it. I had mentioned that before. It’s a big game, you know the consequences, but I expected us in the first half to be much cleaner and much better.
“I don’t know any board that gets sacked, it’s normally the manager at any club. We have to go away and analyse tonight and see where we could be better.
“They are giving their all but in order to progress at this level, we need to have more. Simple as that but we won’t have for Tuesday.”
