Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew is a major doubt for Scotland’s double header against Poland and Gibraltar, according to Hoops boss Ronny Deila.
Mulgrew suffered a thigh injury in the 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen and missed the club’s games against Ajax, Dundee and Raith Rovers.
Scotland have crucial Euro 2016 qualifiers against Poland on October 8 and Gibraltar three days later.
However, Deila says it’s doubtful Mulgrew will have recovered in time for the encounters.
“Charlie I think will be ready to play after the international break,” he said.
“I think it will be tough for him to make the Scotland games but I’m not a 100 per cent on that. I’m not a physio.
“As I understand he’s still not on the pitch training with the ball so it will be tough for him to make it.”
