Rangers boss Mark Warbuton says Nathan Oduwa needs to learn to toughen up if he wants to be a success when he goes back to Tottenham.
Oduwa went off at half-time after he was on the receiving end of some hefty challenges against Livingston in midweek.
The flair player has attracted a lot of attention for his trickery with Alloa defender Colin Hamilton saying he would get clobbered if he continued to showboat.
But if Oduwa is to succeed down south when he finishes his loan spell at Rangers, Warburton believes he needs to learn to deal with rough treatment coming his way.
“Our job is to make him a better player so hopefully he goes back to Tottenham at the end of the season a better player having learnt from situations such as that,” he said.
“He’s got to deal with it, the English Premier League is a physical league as well so he’s got to deal with it, learn how to ride with it and move forward from there.
“It’s part of the game if you’re going to be this player, teams aren’t going to let you do what you want to do.”
