Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been “amazed” by the reaction after the club’s League Cup defeat to St Johnstone.
The loss to the Saints ended Rangers’ perfect start to the season with a 3-1 victory at Ibrox and it could have been worse for the Light Blues.had Steven MacLean not missed an open goal.
It was a realty check according to some for the Championship leaders but Warburton insists no drastic changes are required.
“We made three errors basically,” he said.
“That’s how we play football. What do we do, do we change the whole way we play because of one result?
“I am amazed at some of the comments I read about will you change this after we won 11 out 11.
“We played well, we missed numerous chances on top of the goals we have scored.
“That is not arrogant, or disrespectful, we played some good stuff earlier in the season why would we possibly change everything?
“On Tuesday, we made some individual errors and got punished and missed some chances, simple as that.
“I have no doubts about the quality of the team.”
