The Scottish Football Writers Association (SWFA) have revealed their nominees for Player of the Year; Young Player of the Year and Manager of the Year.

Daizen Maeda could add to his PFA Player of the Year award and is alongside his captain Callum McGregor as the Celtic duo look to add to their success this season. They are joined by Dundee goal machine Simon Murray and Hibs midfielder Nectarios Triantis.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Young Player of the Year shortlist is headed by Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller who received his first Scotland call-up this year. He is joined by last seasons winner of this award, David Watson, his Kilmarnock teammate Bobby Wales and Hearts starlet James Wilson who also gained a call-up to the Scotland squad this season.

As for Manager of the Year Brendan Rodgers is up against fellow Scottish Premiership managers David Gray and Jimmy Thelin both respectively sitting 3rd and 4th in the table. John McGlynn completes the shortlist after he successfully managed his team to Championship winners and promotion to the SPFL.
