Rangers 3-0 Livingston: 10 in a row for Mark Warburton

By Derek Clark at Ibrox

Mark Warburton recorded his 10th win in a row since being appointed as Rangers boss but if truth be told the home side laboured to victory.

The Ibrox faithful unfurled a banner at the start of the game of Captain Lee Wallace and he responded with a thunderbolt of a strike to open the scoring.

A quick free-kick looked to have broken down as the ball fell to Wallace from around 30 yards out but he produced a stunning left-footed strike into the bottom corner of the net leaving Livi goalkeeper Darren Jamieson stranded.

Livingston almost equalised on 28 minutes when Liam Buchanan forced a diving save out of Wes Foderingham with a fizzing shot.

The second goal came five minutes before half-time.  Barrie McKay slipped the ball into Martyn Waghorn and with his back to goal, he managed to turn and fire a shot that struck the inside of the post and into the back of the net.

The second-half was flat by Rangers standards, although credit must go to the West Lothian outfit for restricting the home side for large spells.

Substitute Nicky Law put the gloss on the victory ten minutes from time, when he fired high into the net after being found in the box by fellow sub Kenny Miller.
