Adama Sidibeh struck a hat-trick as St Johnstone stayed top of the William Hill Championship with a 3-0 home victory over Airdrie.

Sidibeh had gone six games without a goal, but the Gambia forward found his scoring touch again as bottom-placed Airdrie were made to suffer at McDiarmid Park.

Airdrie were punished after 25 minutes when Sidibeh rose to head home Liam Smith’s cross.

Sidibeh doubled the Saints lead after 53 minutes following excellent approach play from Jamie Gullan, and grabbed his third from a tight angle as the hosts coasted to victory.

Partick kept up their chase of the Saints with a 5-0 thrashing of Queen’s Park, and remain three points off the pace.

Paddy Reading put Thistle ahead and Ben Stanway scored a long-range effort 11 minutes into first-half added time after a lengthy stoppage due to an injury to Queens Park’s Charlie Fox.

Logan Chalmers, Tsoanelo Letsosa and Luke McBeth were all on target as Partick ran riot in the final quarter.

Third-placed Arbroath overpowered Ross County 3-0 at Gayfield Park.

Harry Cochrane picked his spot from 25 yards to give Arbroath an eighth-minute lead.

Ross had a penalty appeal rejected for a Scott Stewart handball, and Arbroath secured victory with second-half goals from Jacob MacIntyre and Taylor Steven.

Raith Rovers and Morton shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Stark’s Park.

Jack Hamilton headed home Jordan Doherty’s cross to put Rovers ahead six minutes before half-time.

Kris Moore equalised in the first minute of stoppage time for a Morton side who are now five games without a win.
