Michael Beale is set to join Steven Gerrard at Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, it has been reported.

The former Ibrox coach has been out of work since being sacked by Sunderland in February, after just 12 games in charge.

The Englishman was part of the management team under Steven Gerrard which won the Scottish Premiership title in the 2020/2021 season.

The 44-year-old returned to Rangers in November 2022, replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst, before being axed in October last year, after 43 games in charge.

The Saudi side currently sit 12th in the Saudi Pro League, with the team having failed to pick up a win since September.

Steven Gerrard led Al Ettifaq to sixth in the league last season.
