Livingston missed the chance to climb second in the Scottish Championship as they were held to a goalless home draw by Raith.
David Martindale’s side extended their unbeaten league run to eight matches, but remain third after being denied a 10th home league win of the season and the chance to move to within a point of leaders Falkirk.
A stop-start first half was punctuated by three injury breaks, one of them for Raith midfielder Scott Brown, who was forced off and replaced by Josh Mullin in the 11th minute.
Neither side created a noteworthy chance before the interval, with Raith striker Jamie Gullan’s shot from outside the penalty area, well saved by Jerome Prior in the 54th minute, the first real effort on target.
Cristian Montano blazed over the crossbar soon after for Livingston and Raith went close for a second time through Finlay Pollock, whose shot from inside the area was kept out by Prior.
Livingston forward Robbie Muirhead fired off target and, as the home side stepped it up in the final quarter, Danny Wilson and Ryan McGowan both saw headers well saved.
