A thigh injury could see Rosenborg striker Nicklas Bendtner miss Thursday’s Europa League clash with Celtic.
The ex-Arsenal forward missed his side’s win over Valarenga at the weekend and is unlikely to travel to Glasgow.
Rosenborg boss Rinni Coolen admitted the Danes are missing an important part of their first team squad.
He said: “He wasn’t available for the weekend match, but we did well without him.
“He is working very hard to get back fit again. Hopefully, he will return to training soon. We have many big games coming up and we need him for the rest of the season.
“The match against Celtic is completely different from the earlier tie. To qualify, we need to win matches at home because that is where we are at our best.
“If we can collect points on the road, that is a lovely bonus. We are learning and evolving as a team and these European games can only help us.”
The Danish side were last beaten by Brendan Rodgers side in July during the Champions League qualifiers.
