04 Mar Baraclough: We’ve got enough experience to avoid relegation
Baraclough, who replaced McCall at the end of last year, has endured a tricky start to his tenure at Fir Park as the Steelmen ended a run of nine games without a victory with a 2-1 win over Inverness CT at the weekend.
The former Sligo Rovers boss has attempted to put his own stamp on the team having signed no less than eight new players since his arrival.
He’s also added fans’ favourite Scott McDonald last week and Baraclough believes there is enough experience in the squad to help them avoid relegation.
“We’ve got players coming back and integration of new players so we will get better and stronger compared to the last 11 games,” he told Peter and Roughie’s Football Show.
“You can certainly drag one or two down there maybe a bad run or feeling safe so I wouldn’t say it’s just between the three.
“When I first came in and I looked at the senior pros we’ve got Hammell, Lasley, McManus, Pearson, Sutton you look at them and think you’ve got a great chance.
“Lasley played with a broken toe – which we didn’t know about but he wanted to play and that shows the measure of what we’ve got.
“There’s enough there to go and guide the younger players through.”
