Tammy Abraham scored and grabbed an assist as AC Milan extended their Champions League winning run to three matches in a 3-2 win over Slovan Bratislava.
The Serie A side struck in the 21st minute through Christian Pulisic before the hosts levelled three minutes later courtesy of a Tigran Barseghyan finish.
Milan struck after the break through substitute Rafael Leao and Abraham. Although the Slovakian side pulled another back through Nino Marcelli two minutes from time, they had Marko Tolic dismissed in the 90th minute.
Pulisic and Abraham, who played together at Chelsea in the Premier League, linked up for Milan’s opener. Abraham showed strength to hold the ball up, playing a pass to unleash his team-mate one-v-one before a clinical finish into the bottom left-hand corner saw the visitors lead.
After Milan were caught napping for Barseghyan’s equaliser, manager Paulo Fonseca turned to the bench after the interval, bringing on Leao.
The Portugal international showed his attacking quality when he made a defence-splitting run to get on the end of a Youssouf Fofana pass and produced a deft chip to restore Milan’s lead midway through the second half.
The goal forced Bratislava to push up the field, allowing the Italians to capitalise and put the match to bed.
An attempt to quickly play out from the back was intercepted by Abraham, who swiftly finished into the bottom right corner to give himself two goal contributions on the night.
Following a stunning left footed shot into the top left corner by Marcelli, Slovan’s hopes of a point were damaged when Tolic picked up two quickfire yellow cards.
