Yann Bisseck believes Inter Milan can be even more clinical as they look to maintain top spot in Serie A at Parma on Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri have won their last five league matches, beating Bologna 3-1 at the weekend to gain a measure of revenge for their penalty shootout defeat in the Supercoppa Italiana last month.

While they have not lost to Parma since 2018, Inter’s last visit to the Stadio Ennio Tardini saw them squander a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 last April, which proved significant as Napoli pipped them to the title by a single point.

It is why Bisseck knows they cannot take any opponent lightly and the German centre-back insisted they can be even better in front of goal despite being the league’s leading scorers by a distance.

“We created so much (against Bologna) but we still need to take more of our chances,” Bisseck told the club’s official website.

“We know we’re a strong team but we always need to be focused and not underestimate any team. If we show our strength and quality on the pitch, I think we can have a really good month.”

The visit to Emilia-Romagna takes Inter head coach Cristian Chivu back to Parma for the first time since overseeing their top-flight survival in a brief four-month stint before leaving for San Siro.

Staying up is once again the main aim for Parma and Carlos Cuesta, who knows the club owe a debt of gratitude to his predecessor.

“I don’t have the pleasure of knowing him personally but Mister Chivu has made a huge impact here, he did a fantastic job,” Cuesta said at a press conference.

“It ultimately allowed us to play this match tomorrow, because he achieved our goal of staying up. I have only positive words for him.”
