Adam Le Fondre put in a masterclass at the top end of the park as Hibs romped to a 3-0 win at home to rock bottom Livingston.

The 37-year-old bagged an assist after five minutes when his ball across the box was turned home by left back Jordan Obita.

Hibs then raced into a two goal lead when Myziane Maolida added another after eight minutes. Le Fondre did well to hold the ball up before working it to Elie Youan on the wing who found Maolida in the area to finish expertly.

Not to be denied a goal of his own, Le Fondre made it 3-0 mid way through the first half. Chris Cadden played an incisive ball through the Livingston defence for Youan to run on to. The winger squared it for the veteran forward who finished the third move of similar ilk for to the host’s opening two goals.

The only potential sour note for Nick Montgomery will be the enforced changes of goalkeeper David Marshall at the break and Chris Cadden in the second half, which they will hope are not serious injuries.
